New Mills Walkers are Welcome group is approaching the end of the third iteration of a rolling project to check all the rights of way in our parish and identify any problems. We run regular training sessions for footpath monitoring, and organise working parties to maintain our rights of way. We also run a programme of guided walks, particularly during the New Mills Festival each September. We have also produced a series of leaflets describing local walks, which can be downloaded from our website or picked up for free at Rock Mill Centre.

New Mills lies on the Midshires Way and the Pennine Bridleway passes through the parish.
