Disley Footpaths Society leads on all Walkers Are Welcome matters in and around the village – it monitors and maintains all 70+ footpaths in the parish, including the Peak Forest Canal towpath; and organises 5-6 walks a year and talks on footpath-related issues. An excellent Parish Paths Map, together with a selection of self-guided walks, and a set of two Heritage Walks leaflets, are available from the Parish Council Office, the Library and several village centre pubs and cafe. The summer walks programme will be announced via the website in March each year.
