Kilsyth

Kilsyth became a Walkers are Welcome town in 2008, followed by a launch and celebrations in 2009 and hosting the national Walkers are Welcome conference in 2010.

During 2011 our local action group, Friends of Kelvin valley park, have campaigned for path improvements and against path closures, completed a major signage project, helped produce new information panels, produced new leaflets and newsletter, contributed to consultations on the proposed John Muir Trail and the Campsie Fells Action Plan and dealt with a wide range of local issues.
