Visit Suffolk and enjoy one of Britain’s biggest and longest-running walking Festivals. Suffolk has three Walkers are Welcome towns: Clare, Eye and Shotley, each of which is entering their walks and events into the three-week Festival which continues to grow with over 120 guided walks and fringe events right across the county. The 2020 Festival is to be launched in Clare on Saturday 9 May. It runs for three weeks, until the end of the month. Clare has seven walks entered in the Festival, including Magna Carta, Nordic, Health, Cavendish, ‘3 Peaks’ and ‘Nasty Normans’ walks.
There is something for everyone in the Festival, including visits to the mysterious Orford Ness, walks with a sheepdog, a trip on a Thames barge on the Orwell, cruises on the River Stour, photography and art workshops, twilight safaris and lots of traditional cream teas! Plus a brand new Challenge Walk over 5 days from16 May.
