Local MP Ellie Chowns opened the Bromyard Ring at a packed event at the Royal Oak, Bromyard Downs.

The new 16 mile (26km) walking route round Bromyard has been planned and delivered by the Bromyard Walkers are Welcome Group. The route uses existing rights of way, public roads and common land. Full details about the route can be found on the Bromyard Walkers are Welcome website.

MP Ellie Chowns said: “I am delighted to be opening this exciting new walking route, which visits so many wonderful places – the Frome valley, Stoke Lacy, Wicton Farm, Edwyn Ralph and of course the stunning Bromyard Downs. It is a testimony to the hard work and good teamwork of many volunteers. I am looking forward to walking the route myself.”
