Kirklees Cluster meeting

On 2nd June local groups from the Kirklees area met to discuss areas of common interest and to share experiences. Representatives from Meltham, Marsden, Slatthwaite and Golcar, together with others from Bradfield and Stocksbridge met to have a look at the work being undertaken by Meltham members in the local Pleasure Gardens (see picture), followed by a short walk taking in the the locations where working mills previously existed. Members then met at the excellent Carlile Institute, a building owned and run by the local community. The grouping are looking to meet again in one of the members area in the future. Sharing stories proved a great way to extend contacts and build the local network.
