Last Tuesday, Whitchurch Walkers are Welcome volunteers were delighted to welcome the management team from Stagecoach (South) to the town, to help officially launch the first three in a series of Bus Walks that have been designed and produced locally with the help of a Stagecoach Partnership Grant.

These series of linear walks will allow locals and visitors to explore the countryside paths a little further out of town, without the need of a car; we hope the initiative proves to be a winner, after all, increased footfall means we are less likely to suffer cuts to the service.

Stagecoach will be producing publicity posters for each of the buses operating on these routes and we hope to add to the series next summer by including bus walking routes to the south of Whitchurch.
