Fairford Walkers are Welcome launched

Fairford Walkers are Welcome was launched on Saturday 9th September at the Fairford Heritage Day and the WaW membership certificate presented to Fairford’s Deputy Major, Mark Dudley.  The certificate will be displayed in the Fairford Community Centre.  Over 100 people attended the Heritage Day to inspect the displays arranged by the Fairford History Society and 33 people went on the Heritage Walk in the morning, followed by a Tomb Trail and a River Walk in the afternoon.  Thanks to the Earnest Cook Trust, visitors were able to visit the Dovecot and Estate Yard, both not normally open to the public.

WaW window stickers and brochures have been distributed to all cafes. pubs, hotel/b&bs in Fairford with very positive responses and the Fairford WaW committee will now be meeting to discuss and plan on-going WaW activities in and around the town.
