We start them young in NW Hampshire!

A knock on the door from a near neighbour, followed by a hi, I’m an Explorer Scout Leader and our young people would like to help….what can we do?” has now led to a new much younger contingent of Whitchurch WaW volunteers.

Since then ten young people and three scout leaders, ‘Team Explorer’ have been working alongside three committee members learning how to use the tools safely and helping to clear vegetation and litter from a popular footpath running from the old railway tunnel up on to the North Wessex Downs. It was a magnificent effort and ‘Team Explorer’ thoroughly enjoyed themselves despite the weather conditions, which it has to be said were pretty unpleasant.
