Ramblers roll up their sleeves ready for walking festival

Organisers of next month’s free Quantock Walking Festival have been out and about checking the routes and clearing any obstacles as bookings continue to come in from around the County and further afield. Sedgemoor Ramblers are holding their second Walking Festival over the weekend of June 10 and 11 and have joined forces with Stowey Walking which gained recognition for Over Stowey and Nether Stowey as Walkers Are Welcome villages last year. Following the success of last year’s festival, the Ramblers decided to use Nether Stowey as their base again to offer a choice of three guided walks each day, starting and finishing in the village and followed by tea and home-made cake.

While the event is free, numbers for the walks need to be limited so booking is essential. For full information and booking details, see www.sedgemoorramblers.co.uk or ‘phone Alan or Sara on 01278 773730.
