The Caradon Trail 4th anniversary walk

Brian has kindly sent an update on the recent anniversary walk.

Nearly 30 walkers enjoyed the sunshine and showers on a 6 mile section of the Caradon Trail to mark 4 years since it opened. This popular route for walkers, cyclists and horse riders covers lanes, tracks and footpaths linking Liskeard and surrounding villages to the disused mineral railway, mines and quarries of Bodmin Moor.

To mark the occasion, Brian Oldham of Liskeard’s Walkers are Welcome invited walkers to join him on a circular route starting from St Cleer Car Park at 10.30am on Saturday 4th March, St.Piran’s weekend. They followed the Trail for 3 miles along the lanes to Minions where was a lunch stop, then back to St Cleer via the old railway track and Trethevy Quoit, another 3 miles making 6 miles in total.
