Frosty walk in Whitchurch

For the smallest town in Hampshire, we saw a record 65 people set out in the sunshine to walk the frosty paths around our small town.  Wendy Helsby, volunteer walk leader explained about the town’s past, it’s famous residents and visitors.

‘Punching above its weight’ describes perfectly some of the historical causes taken up by Whitchurch; from Chartism & Political Reform to the Salvation Army riots and the ‘right to peaceful protest’ won for the country at the High Court in 1890. If you are in the area do come and visit, we would be delighted to show you around our town.
