Alum Quarry Walk

Come on a guided walk to the former Loftus alum quarry on Wednesday 24 August. Meet outside the Co-op in Loftus Market Place for a 10.30am start on a circular walk that will feature the history and geology of the quarry and other local points of interest. You’ll need a good level of fitness for this walk which will include stiles, rough terrain, steep descents and climbs; it may be muddy in places. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear and bring refreshments as the walk may take about four hours. There’s free parking at South View, off North Road (TS13 4JL).
